This enchanting lavender cake serves a fragrance you can taste, refinement you can see, and tranquility that dances on your palate with each bite. Spices and herbs in pastries are the absolute key to a good taste. Something that works very well for me is lavender. So I decided to infuse freshly harvested lavender blossoms in a very simple vanilla cake batter. The tender crumb is complemented by a light, delicate mascarpone cream. This aromatic cake promises to awaken all your senses; personally, it brings me back to the garden I grew up in.
